The Marion County Pioneer Cemetery Commission will have their first meeting on Monday at 7pm. The meeting will take place at the Knoxville Rural Fire Station. The commission was formed at the June 27th meeting of the Marion County Board of Supervisors. Pioneer cemeteries are those that have not had more than 12 burials in the past 50 years. The commission is looking for volunteers to help with repairs and cleanup for such cemeteries. Those interested should come to the Monday meeting or contact Valerie Van Kooten at 641-628-9789
