Unemployment numbers for the month of June have been released. Marion County saw a slight increase in unemployment, from 5.6% in May to 5.9% in June which represents a total of 60 fewer employed people.

That is still slightly lower than the state-wide number of 6% and well below the national rate of 9.2%.
