Area Farmer’s Markets are seeing more business and more products to sell. Louise Zaffiro, who operates Prairie Roots Farms says the early crops she planted this year didn’t turn out well with lots of rain, followed by several weeks of hot, dry weather. She says she’s seen better quality produce with items planted later in the year. JoAnn Langstraat with B&J’s Greenhouse from Columbia says her early crops fared about as well. Langstraat has been selling produce at the Knoxville Farmer’s Market since 2006. She says sales have picked up in recent weeks with better weather and better produce.
