The Iowa Department of Transportation has suspended their work on the mile-long bridge this week. The bridge previously had one-way traffic with a pilot car as the DOT worked on replacing guard rails on the bridge. Dena Gray-Fisher, spokesperson for the DOT, says that the bridge will be opened back up for two-way traffic until Monday. She says that they’re suspending the construction on the bridge due to the high amount of traffic it’ll see this week during Knoxville Nationals.
