The demolition of the old Knoxville Junior High and High School begins Monday. Knoxville Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says that the first item demolitions crews will remove are the cornerstone and the old “Knoxville High School” sign on the north side of the building. Flack says they hope to incorporate those items somewhere at the current high school. The Knoxville Alumni Association will be collecting bricks to sell at a later date. Flack says people are invited to watch, but need to stay a safe distance away.
