Unemployment numbers for the month of July have been released. According to data from Iowa Workforce Development, Marion County saw a slight drop in the unemployment rate from 5.8% in June down to 5.6% in July. That number is still ahead of the statewide rate of 6% and well below that national rate of 9.1% which is also down slightly from 9.2% in June.
