While most coaches do not want to tip their hand before the season and say exactly what they are planning to do, Knoxville Football Coach Troy Rider has come out and said they plan to run the ball. Rider says his team is built to run the ball this season, something that many fans assume is abandoned in the Spread Offense. Rider says Quarterback Bryan McWilliams, who passed for 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns last year, has the ability to run between the tackles, something that a lot of quarterbacks shy away from doing, or just handing it off to one of his running backs. Rider thinks that McWilliams can have a season where he runs for around 500 yards and throws for over 1,000. Knoxville opens its season this Friday with a road game at P-C-M.
