The Knoxville City Council met with the Knoxville Library Board earlier this week to discuss the Library’s future plans and possibilities of expansion at the Library. Library Director Roslin Thompson says that she thinks the meeting went very well and the Council seemed receptive toward the Library’s needs. City Manager Harold Stewart says the Library is looking at possibly expanding to almost double their current size in order to service the needs of the city in the next 20-25 years. The Library Board has already selected an architectural firm to work with on the project – FEH Associates out of Des Moines.
