Central College women’s golf coach Tim Wilkinson is likely looking forward to the upcoming fall season.  That’s because even though it’s his second season leading Central’s program, it will be the first time that the squad is at full strength.

All-American Sarah Paulson – a two-time Iowa Conference Player of the Year – is back after missing the 2010 spring season with an injury and last fall to study abroad.  Also back will be a healthy Kaurie Kincaid.  The junior from Knoxville is coming off of a back injury from last fall and was an All-Conference golfer for the Dutch last fall.

Add to that the surging play of senior Ali Miller and junior Ashley Smith, along with the expected contributions from freshmen Kelsey Van Tasell of Pella and fellow state-qualifier Leah Hilpipre of Spirit Lake; and Central should have a solid squad for the upcoming season.

The Central College women’s golf season begins in Storm Lake at the Buena Vista Invitational on September 2nd and 3rd.  The traditional season-opener, the Central Invitational, was moved to late September this year in hopes of attracting a stronger field.
