The Knoxville Nationals Queen Competition takes place next Tuesday, August 9. Queen Competition Coordinator Christie Woodriff says that 14 ladies from 5 different states will participate in this year’s event. They will be judged in several different categories, including appearance, poise, and knowledge in racing. The queen will be involved in a variety of events during the week, such as trophy presentations and the parade. The competition takes place at Dyer-Hudson Hall at 7pm, and is free and open to the public.
