Effective September 1st, Pella Police Chief Micheal Marcinkowski will put down his badge and gun for the final time. After 12 years at the helm of the Pella Police Department, Marcinkowski says it’s time to move on. “I planned on being here for four years and stayed for 12, so it’s been a good run”, Marcinkowski says. Decisions regarding how the duties of the Chief will be handled until a replacement is named are still being finalized.
