New Pella High School Athletic Director Dale Otte has been working his way into the position over the past few weeks; with a little help from an ideal teacher.  Otte and former Pella High A.D. Bill Van Horn have been able to spend some time together since Otte moved here, and he says it’s been very helpful in the transition.

“Bill [VanHorn] has been great.  He’s spent some time with me talking, introducing me to some people, filling me in on the ins-and-outs, and how to get ready for this coming school year on things that are specific to Pella High School,” says Otte.  “Bill’s been a great guy, and I can see why he was so respected and loved here in the community, because he’s been such a great support for me.”

Otte came to Pella from Saydel High School in Des Moines, where he had served in the same position for the past four years.
