Jumping head-first into one of the most competitive athletic conferences in the state may sound like a daunting task, but that is exactly what new Pella High School Athletic Director Dale Otte is doing this fall.  

Otte will look to pick up where retiring A.D. Bill VanHorn left off, and says he has already received a lot of advice and support from the other Athletic Directors in the LIttle Hawkeye Conference.  Otte adds that there is a bit of a fraternity amongst athletic directors, as many face the same concerns and obstacles.  

Prior to accepting the position at Pella High School, Otte held the same role for four years at Saydel High School in Des Moines.
