If there was a team in south-central Iowa that had the injury big last season, it was Pleasantville. The Trojans from the opening game suffered key injuries on both offense and defense and according to Coach Tim Koerselman only had the entire starting line up on defense in tact at the last game of the season. While Koerselman is not using the injuries as an excuse for going 3-6 last season, he adds the consistency was what hurt the team more than anything. Koerselman adds one game, his team would do well on offense and struggle on defense, then the next game, it would be another area of the game that would have its struggles. Koerselman notes so far the team is healthy and seems to be in better physical condition than at this time last season. Pleasantville opens up this Friday at home against Carlisle.
