For the second straight year…Shane Stewart beat all of the best in 360 sprint car racing…and everyone beat Mother Nature last night at the Knoxville Raceway during the 21st Annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals. As the 24 drivers were fight it out to see who would be crowned 360 National Champion severe thunderstorms kept creeping toward Marion County. Stewart meanwhile led all 25 laps and only had to deal with Sammy Swindell on a restart. While it appeared that Stewart had the race well in hand, he said in victory lane that it felt like the slowest 25 laps he had ever run. Knoxville Nationals Winner Tim Shaffer ended up following Stewart over the line by half a straightaway while Swindell slipped to third while Billy Alley was fourth and local driver Davey Heskin wound up fifth. In the 410 races Kevin Swindell got the best of the All-Stars as he won his second race at the Knoxville Raceway this season. Tonight is night four of Southern Iowa Sprint Week as the Knoxville Non-Wing Nationals will take place. You can hear the call on KNIA/KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com at 7:30.
