The Marion County Sheriff’s Office keeps busy during Nationals, and not just because of security at the fairgrounds. Sheriff Ron Goemaat says that they also provide assistance in patrolling the North Campgrounds that the County owns, as well as helping the Conservation Office by patrolling Lake Red Rock, which fills up during Nationals. Goemaat says that much of his staff will work 12-hour days on Friday and Saturday of Nationals, as they have extra patrol all over the County to ensure safety on roads.
