A special program is planned for this weekend at Lake Red Rock. “The Town Beneath the Lake” is a historical presentation highlighting the history of the towns that existed in the Des Moines River valley before the creation of the Lake.

Park Ranger Tracy Spry says this a way to keep the heritage of the area alive and hear the story of those towns. The program is at 2 pm Friday at the Red Rock Visitors Center.
