Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and despite the expected seasonably cool temperatures, Lake Red Rock figures to be quite busy. Marion County Sheriff Ron Goemaat reminds everyone that new blood alcohol limit for boaters this summer is .08, which is the same as it is in car. He says that there will be people patrolling the lake. He also recommends that everyone should be wearing a lifejacket. He says that children are required to have one on while on a boat, but that’s not the case for adults. Still, he says, it’s a good safety precaution.
