Assigned with the task of slowing down a high-powered University of Dubuque offense, the Central College team figures to have its hands full this afternoon when they hit the road to face the Spartans.
Dubuque has the complete package on offense, as junior quarterback Wyatt Hanus is the league’s leading passer, averaging just over 258 yards per game. His favorite target, All-American senior wide receiver Michael Zweifel is back for a fifth season and leads the conference in receptions at just over ten per game while averaging 160 yards receiving per contest. The Spartans also boast a solid running back in Justin Spaulding.

Of course, Central is certainly not without its own weapons on offense, as dual-threat quarterback is averaging over 100 yards rushing per game and a league-best 296 yards of total offense.

The game will likely be decided by defense, where the two teams stack up one-two in the Iowa Conference in a number of categories. The Spartans are 3-0 overall, while Central is 2-1 overall and 1-0 in league play, following a 37-9 win last week over Luther College.
