The home field has been kind to the Central College women’s soccer team, as the Dutch have opened the season with two consecutive wins.  The latest came Monday afternoon, as Central claimed a 1-0 overtime victory over Minnesota-Morris.

Forward Alayna Bailey put the game-winning goal in the back of the net five minutes and 26 seconds into the overtime period.  By reaching two victories in the first two matches of the season, the Central women’s soccer team has already matched last year’s wins total and is 2-0 for the first time since 2005.

They’ll conclude their three-game home stand Wednesday with a women’s and men’s doubleheader against Nebraska Wesleyan.
