The Central College women’s soccer team is off to a significantly-improved start to the season, thanks in part to the success of sophomore forward Alayna Bailey, who is the Iowa Conference Female Athlete of the Week.

In the past week, Bailey scored four goals, as the Dutch went 2-1. Two of her goals were game-winners, of which she has had five of this season. Bailey is only the second Central College women’s soccer player ever to win the conference athlete of the week honor, since it was initiated in 2001.
