The Pella City Council will hold a public hearing October 4th on the sale of the City’s interest in the Walter Scott Energy Center. If approved, the sale would allow the City to retire its electric utility debt. City Administrator Mike Nardini says if the measure passes, the City’s overall debt would be reduced from $21 million to just over $9 million.
