Marion County Habitat for Humanity will team up with Habitat for Humanity of Iowa for a special celebration next Saturday, October 1. One of the houses being built on the corner of Harlan and Roche will be the 1000th Habitat for Humanity house built in Iowa. There will be a special dedication ceremony starting at 11am next Saturday. Marion County Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Lisa Houser says that this is an important landmark for the 36 Habitat branches across the state of Iowa. She adds that the dedication coincides with World Habitat Day on October 3.
