The Knoxville cross country squads led a handful of local teams in a strong performance at the Oskaloosa Invitational on Tuesday.  

Wic Cunningham led from start to finish and won the individual title as the Panthers finished just 28 points behind Ottumwa with 75 total points to the Bulldogs’ 47 in the team standings.  Knoxville’s Jacob Moats was 11th and Jordan Angove was 16th to complete the runners in the top 20.
 
Pella Christian finished in 10th place in the team standings, led by Jacob Lensing – who finished 39th.  Twin Cedars was right behind the Eagles, placing 11th as a team and led by Eric Clark as he placed 43rd.  Pleasantville competed as well, but did not have enough runners to score as a team.  They were led by Dylan Lauer who crossed the line in 54th.
 
On the girls side Knoxville finished eighth for the second straight meet as Alissa Van Klootwyk was fourth across the line.  Pella Christian was right behind the Panthers with a 9th place finish, as Sarah Brandsen’s 23rd-place performance paced the Lady Eagles.  

Twin Cedars and Pleasantville did not have enough runners to score, but the Sabers were led by Brittney Roby’s 17th place finish and Pleasantville’s Lauren James had a 54th place finish.
