The Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals are this Thursday-Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway. 66 of the top late model drivers from around the nation will be in Knoxville for the three night show. The format is exactly like the sprint car Nationals. Each driver will be given a chance to time trial, run a heat race and line up in a C, B, or A-Main. 200 points are awarded for fast time each night and 100 points for a heat race win and another 200 for an A-Main win. All drivers can run both nights if they choose, but only the highest point total between the two nights will be used to line up the drivers on Saturday Night’s main event. Billy Moyer swept all three nights of last year’s race.
