One of Pella Regional Health Center’s general surgeons has added a new treatment to his practice. Dr. Mike Thompson now offers osteopathic manipulative therapy, or OMT, to patients. OMT attempts to improve joint range of motion and balance tissue and muscle mechanics in order to relieve chronic back, neck or shoulder pain. Dr. Thompson has earned a fellowship in OMT and worked extensively with patients and taught medical students about the treatment.
