Another runaway victory, along with a loss by a team ranked in the top three, helped the PCM football team gain another spot in the latest Radio Iowa High School Football Poll.
The Mustangs throttled Shenandoah 55-18 this past Friday night, while previously third-ranked South Central Calhoun was nipped 10-8 by Carroll Kuemper. That moves the Mustangs up as the new No. 3 in this week’s Class 2A poll, behind Iowa City Regina and West Marshall.
PCM is off to a 4-0 start to the season, winning each game by 26 points or more. The Mustangs host Clarke this Friday night.
