Arguably the most difficult opponent of the season awaits the Pella Christian football team tonight, when the Eagles travel to Bondurant-Farrar. Pella Christian head coach Rich Kacmarynski says the Bluejays’ offense is both balanced and sophisticated.

“They’ve got some speed at the running back spot, and at quarterback. We’re going to have to contain their run, particularly their wide run and off-tackle run,” says Kacmarynski.

“We’re also going to have to pay attention – they scored two touchdowns against Roland-Story last week on long pass plays – so we’re going to have to defend their receivers as well. They have a very sophisticated offense.”

Kacmarynski has urged his team to not be mislead by Bondurant-Farrar’s 0-2 record, as they return a number of key players from a physical football team that finished as co-District champions with Pella Christian last season.

The Eagles are 1-1 entering tonight’s contest, which can be heard live on 92.1 fm KRLS. Coverage from Bondurant with Eric Gotschall and Nate Van Wyk will begin at 7:00 p.m. with kickoff between the Eagles and Bluejays set for 7:30 p.m.
