Specifications for the Knoxville Recreation Center Grounds project have been approved, and the City may approve a bid for the project as soon as the City Council meeting next Tuesday. The project will include grading the field outside of the Rec Center to make a new multi-purpose field that would be capable of hosting youth events such as soccer tournaments, as well as expansion of the parking lot. City Manager Harold Stewart says they want to have the grading done this fall so they can seed grass and have the field ready by fall 2012.
