Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is hosting a special dedication today. One of the houses on the corner of Marion and Harlan will become the 1000th Habitat home built in Iowa. Habitat for Humanity of Marion County Executive Director Lisa Houser says this is a celebration of Habitat’s impact in Iowa. She says if you combine the population of the 1000 families that have had a home built for them by Habitat in Iowa, it would be larger than 86% of Iowa communities. The dedication goes from 11am-1pm. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be there, playing music and making announcements.
