Pella Mayoral candidate Jim Mueller spoke with KNIA/KRLS yesterday about his reasons for running for office. Mueller says he’s always had a political mind and tried to be engaged with local politics. During his time on the Pella City Council, Mueller says one of the most important things he’s seen happen is a reduction in the city’s debt, which, as of November 1st, will stand at about $9 million dollars. He says part of his plan should he be elected, is to continue infrastructure improvements in the city and also to work closely with other cities in the area on regional issues. Be sure to tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Pella during the Mid Day Magazine at noon to hear our full interview with Mueller.
