Harvest season is winding down, and things are looking good for area farmers. Justin Huebner, grains manager at Two Rivers Co-op says most soy beans are nearly all out of the fields and more than half the corn crop has been brought in. Huebner says this year’s yields are significantly better than last year’s and especially good considering the low predictions of the year and the wet spring we had. He says his customers have been reporting corn yields as much as 20 bushels per acre better than anticipated.
