A designation ceremony is planned for this Saturday at Lake Red Rock for Iowa’s newest water trail. The 36-mile water trail loop can be paddled in its entirety or in shorter sections. The ceremony will include speeches from members of the Lake Red Rock Association, US Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Natural Resources. Paddlers will need to bring their own gear. The ceremony begins at 1 pm at Hickory Ridge Paddles Primitive Camp south of the Whitebreast Recreation Area
