Though windy conditions led to the highest score of the season for the Central College women’s golf team, the Dutch were still able to maintain their hold on second place yesterday in the third round of the Iowa Conference women’s golf championship.

After team scores of 320 and 327, Central shot a 360 at the windswept Lake Creek Country Club near Storm Lake to finish the round 11 strokes behind defending champion Wartburg College and 32 strokes in front of third-place Luther College.

Senior Sarah Paulson continues to lead the field individually, five strokes in front of second place.  Knoxville native Kaurie Kincaid is in 12th place, and Kelsey Van Tasell – a freshman from Pella High – is 22nd.

The fourth and final round of the 72-hole tournament concludes today at Lake Creek.
