After suffering their first District loss of the season, the Pella Christian football team is back at work on the practice field this week as they aim to finish out the remainder of the season on a high note. Up first is Colfax-Mingo, and head coach Rich Kacmarynski says one area of emphasis for his team will be improved consistency on the offensive line; as injuries and illness have left the Eagles with a revolving cast up front.

“Well that’s been a concern all year. Unfortunately you don’t have a lot of control over all that,” said Kacmarynski. “I’m excited about having a lot of our guys back on the line. I think, honestly, we did not have a great week of practice [last week] from those guys because they were still getting cleared [to play] on Wednesday and Thursday, so I’m excited to have a full week of practice for those guys to kind of get back in the saddle.”

Pella Christian carries a 4-2 overall record and a 3-1 District mark into Friday’s game in Colfax.
