The Central College volleyball squad earned two wins at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Invitational Friday night, avenging an Iowa Conference defeat against Loras College 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 22-25, 29-27, 15-13) and besting Wisconsin-Superior 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18).

In the wins, Dutch libero Chelsea Grieger notched 31 and 32 digs, adding to her school-record mark for digs in a career. The senior from Pella High has 692 digs this season, and is likely to top Central’s single season record of 698; set by Callie Collins in 2003.

The Central College volleyball team continues play at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Invitational today with matches against Buena Vista University and the host Eagles.
