In another event during National Fire Prevention Safety Week, the Knoxville Rural Fire Department is inviting everyone to a pancake feed Saturday at the Knoxville Rural Fire Station. That’s located one block west of the square. Firefighters Dude Williams and Geoff Jones say that there will be an open house during the pancake feed, where people can take a tour of the building and look at the trucks and gear that the department has. The feed will run from 7-11am on October 15, with freewill donations being accepted. Money raised will go toward new bunker gear.
