As the leaves continue to change with fall upon us, many Marion County residents are enjoying outdoor fall activities and hiking area trails. Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz tells KNIA/KRLS news that hikers should be aware that hunting season is also upon us, and that many area trails border hunting areas. She says if you are in an area near hunters, simply to make a little noise now and again so they are aware of your presence and to wear bright colors.
