The Pella City Council met in regular session last night. During the meeting, the Council voted to authorize the defeasance of the city’s electric utility debt, which will bring the city’s total debt from just over $20 million to just over $9 million dollars. Council also set dates for taking bids on materials for the Southeast Switching Station, the cost of which is expected to be around $260,000.
