The volleyball teams from Pella High and Knoxville finished in the middle of the field at yesterday’s Pella High Invitational. The Lady Dutch finished the day with a three-and-two record…claiming two/nothing victories over North Mahaska, Knoxville, and P-C-M, while falling in straight sets to Jefferson-Scranton and Mediapolis. Knoxville was two-and-three on the day taking down P-C-M and North Mahaska while falling to Pella, Mediapolis, and Jefferson-Scranton. Pella is now 8-16 overall and will return to Little Hawkeye Conference play on Thursday when the Dutch host Norwalk. Head Coach Bob Fessler says the team is hopeful that the final home game of the season for the Lady Dutch will be played on the newly completed floor in Pella High’s East Gymnasium. Knoxville Coach Eric Fee said the girls played well yesterday. The Panthers are now 11-17 on the season and will travel to Norwalk on Tuesday.
