Aiming to gather a head of steam entering the playoffs, the Pella Christian football team figures to play a very physical game at home tonight against Shenandoah. Eagles’ head coach Rich Kacmarynski says the tone of the game is often set by his players up front, and he expects his team to continue to expand upon areas they’ve improved at in recent games.

“Any team is built around their offensive line, but our team is definitely built around ours. This is just another opportunity for our offensive line to assert their great play,” says Kacmarynski.

“I like how we’re throwing the ball, I like how we’re catching the ball now; so I think we’ve definitely got a few more bullets in the gun now, as far as that’s concerned. This game tonight will probably be determined by turnovers – as always – and then who controls the line of scrimmage.”

Pella Christian carries a 5-2 overall record and a 4-1 District mark into tonight’s match-up with the Mustangs; who are 3-5 overall and 2-3 in Class 2A District 8 play. Coverage of the game will be streamed live at kniakrls.com with Jamie Brockman and Nate Van Wyk providing the call, starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
