The Pella Community School Board met yesterday in their first work session. This is a new format for the Board, which allows them to dig in to topics more deeply. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the overall goal of using the work sessions as opposed to two traditional meetings per month is to have a higher functioning Board. Yesterday, they layed out the topics they’ll be tackling in the coming months, including school finance, K-12 technology and the proposed 1 to 1 Laptop program and putting together a new 10 year facilities plan.
