A Pella teacher will be recognized for her efforts today in Des Moines at The Iowa Recognition Luncheon for Outstanding Teachers. Lisa Jaarsma Zylstra, who teaches 5th grade at Jefferson Intermediate has been named the Iowa Preserve America History Teacher of the Year. Zylstra is one of 13 teachers from across Iowa who will receive an award at the luncheon.
