Behind a performance that was near-perfect in every aspect, the Central College football team emphatically notched their first road victory of the season Saturday afternoon, rocking Loras College 70-7 at the Rock Bowl in Dubuque.

Broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS, the Dutch offense put up three touchdowns in each of the first three quarters as part of a record-breaking performance by quarterback Nate Snead.  While Snead has often beaten teams with his legs, he scorched the Duhawks with his arm instead, completing 18-of-22 passes for four touchdowns and a record-breaking 347 yards.

In all, the Central offense put up a jaw-dropping 626 yards of total offense, as six different players scored touchdowns.  The defense for the Dutch was also lights out, holding the Duhawks to a mere 130 yards of offense.

Central carries a 5-2 overall record and a 4-1 conference mark into next Saturday’s home finale against Cornell.
