Knoxville resident Megan Suhr will be running for the Iowa House of Representatives in the newly formed District 28. Suhr, a Democrat, currently works at the Iowa State Capitol as a consumer advocate. She grew up in Packwood, Iowa, and has previously worked at Principal Financial Group in Des Moines. Suhr says she wants Commercial Property Tax Relief for small businesses and stronger health care for women, children, and veterans. Suhr plans on making a formal announcement on November 4 at noon outside the Marion County Courthouse. A Republican, Greg Heartsill, has also already entered the race.
