Pleasantville Native Chelsea Thomas and the U-S-A Softball squad are sailing through the competition in the Pan Am games this week in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Americans are unbeaten in seven games in pool play after pounding Argentina eight-to-nothing yesterday. Thomas has started two games and has been credited with the win in both. Against the Dominican Republic she pitched four innings and struck out seven…and in a win over Puerto Rico two days later fanned ten batters. Team U-S-A will play Cuba tonight in one semi-final while Canada and Venezuela will square off in the other semi-final. The gold medal and bronze medal games will take place on Sunday.
