Following a dominant 43-0 victory over Shenandoah last week, the Pella Christian football team has a chance to put a big exclamation point on the end of the regular season with a similar performance against Clarke on Friday.

Eagles’ head coach Rich Kacmarynski says his upperclassmen showed how important this season is to them during Senior Night at home last week, and expects that group to lead the charge into this week’s game.

“Our seniors, I think, are eager to finish this season strong and to make a playoff run,” said Kacmarynski. “I think that’s a big thing. I don’t think the guys are ready to be done – I think guys are excited about finishing the regular season strong with a win down at Clarke and then getting in the playoffs and making some noise in the playoffs. I think we’re all excited about that”

Pella Christian is 6-2 overall this season and 5-1 in Class 2A District 8, while Clarke has struggled mightily this fall, and is winless on the season.
