A lopsided win over Albia Tuesday night seems to be a good indicator that the Pella Christian girls basketball team is headed back in the right direction, but don’t expect the Lady Eagles to lighten up just yet.

Pella Christian head coach Kevin Van Maanen says after last season’s success, this year’s squad has entered the season very motivated and focused on replicating – and hopefully exceeding – that success.

“I think the focus has been pretty good. This group of girls here on this basketball team is eager about winning, getting after it and seeing how far they can get again.” says Van Maanen.

“It hasn’t been too hard to motivate them in practice. It’s been pretty simple so far.”

The Pella Christian girls are 1-1 overall and off until December 2nd, when they’ll host Roland-Story.
