Saturday’s season-finale at Simpson College will be the final chapter for 29 seniors on this year’s Central College football team, and to say that class has left their mark would be a gross understatement.

Easily the most notable senior is quarterback Nate Snead, who will leave his name all over the Central College record books, including as the all-time leader in total offense per game (currently 220.7 yards) and passing/rushing touchdowns (currently 88). Snead also finishes his career in Central Red second in rushing and passing touchdowns individually, second in scoring, and with the most rushing yardage of any quarterback in school history.

Snead piled up a lot of those numbers with the help of his brother Jeremy, who stands at second in career pass receptions, fourth in career receiving yards, and fourth in receiving touchdowns. Other noteworthy seniors include special team returners Brett Wilkin and Mike Furlong. Wilkin holds the school record for career kick return yards, with Furlong third on that same list. Furlong is tenth on Central’s all-time career punt return yards list.

The Dutch are 6-3 overall, while Simpson is 5-4.
