The Central College wrestling team saw improvement in its second week of competition, producing 12 placewinners at the Auggie-Brute-adidas Open at Augsburg College in Minnesota Saturday. With over 330 wrestlers competing in the non-scored tournament, the field was divided into three divisions based largely on experience level.

Finishing second in the Silver Division – the middle bracket – was TJ Peretti at 141 pounds and Dan Gordon at 184 pounds. Both wrestlers finished 3-1 and Peretti recorded a pin in the semifinal (4:00). Joseph Atwell finished sixth in the Gold Division, the top bracket, with a 2-2 record.

Central breaks for Thanksgiving and returns to the mat December 1st for its home debut and conference opener against No. 1 Wartburg College.
